Daily Candy | Street Style Awards

{ photos by Andrea Donadio for Daily Candy }

Daily Candy snapped photos of stylish ladies and gents from Chicago and beyond for their 2013 Street Style Awards. They're pitting us against New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco and inviting readers to vote for their favorite city. The story features designers, photographers, writers, lawyers, boutique owners, and dozens more people doing and creating cool things around the country. It's an honor to be included and exciting to see so many Chicago friends and familiar faces. Take a look below for photos of a few of my home team favorites and click here to see the full story and cast your vote for the city with the most style.

Bold rules in this Glossed & Found spring fashion editorial. I had a blast working with Graham to create the illustrations, backgrounds, and layouts for these colorful photos. Click here to see the entire story.

The market features dozens of food and design artisans and kicks off a weekend of tours, tastings, and talks around Chicago. art of the trench

{ photos by Tim Klein and Amy Creyer }

To celebrate the launch of their new flagship store, Burberry brought their street style series, Art of the Trench, to Chicago. It is fun to see so many familiar faces and I am completely flattered to be featured alongside these tastemakers from Chicago's art, design, music, food, and fashion industries. The series is just a tiny glimpse into the vibrant community of creative thinkers and doers living and working here in Chicago. It's a great reminder of one of the many reasons I am so thankful to live in this city.

cool kids for a cause

{ photos by Maria Ponce, video by Emily Hard }

Glossed & Found knocks it out of the park yet again with their current Style + Substance Issue. From designers and stylists to publicists and entrepreneurs, Cool Kids for a Cause features a dozen do-gooders who dabble in volunteering, charitable fundraising, educating, and more. It is an honor to be included on this list of creative Chicagoans who are passionate about their philanthropic pursuits. I talked to G&F about my color-coded closet, the style tips and designer duds I inherited from my mom, and what I love about teaching fashion at Marwen. styling wild belle for refinery29

{ photos by Brian Guido for Refinery29 }

A few weeks ago, an editor from Refinery29 reached out to ask if I would style my siblings for a feature on Wild Belle that ran today in their Musical Muse series. Natalie and Elliot both have a distinct eye for fashion and have acquired some amazing pieces over the years, so they don't need too much help in the styling department. But, I was more than happy to oblige and took this as a fun opportunity to enlist some of my favorite local designers and boutiques in order to find some special pieces to pair with their own well-worn and well-loved items.

ON NATALIE: { one } Elise Bergman blouse, vintage Levi's shorts, Mackage jacket, Cheryl Dufault and Shikama necklaces, Pamela Love rings (throughout)
{ two } thrifted sweater dress (worn as shirt), Hache skirt, vintage fur stole, Cheryl Dufault necklace, Cities in Dust cuff, Fiorentini + Baker booties
{ three } vintage dress, vintage Pendleton hat worn with A Détacher belt, Annie Costello Brown necklace, shoes from a boutique in Sweden

ON ELLIOT: { one } Opening Ceremony shirt, Levi's jeans (throughout), Shipley & Halmos blazer, vintage necklaces, vintage belt (throughout), Wolverine boots (throughout) | { two } Steven Alan shirt, Rag & Bone coat | { three } Marc by Marc Jacobs peacoat, Elise Bergman scarf

SPECIAL THANKS: Apartment Number 9, Cities in Dust, Edith Hart, Elmidae, Penelope's, Robin Richman, and Roslyn

AZZA accessories

{ photos via Roslyn }

New at Roslyn: these gorgeous hand-beaded collars and sashes from Atelier AZZA. Love how effortlessly they can add some glam to our classic Carter Dress, shown here in black silk crepe de chine.
